As many of us are now able to be in the same room together to make music, we have both a vast sense of relief and a slightly abashed concern that we may have some work to do to get back to where we were musically before the pandemic. Hence our pop-up workshop! The goal is to get out the metaphorical belt grinders, sharpening stones and polishing rags to get the rust off our music-making so we can meet our various ensembles with renewed vigor. We’ll all be happy to see that with just a bit of care and attention, our sharpness will come back quickly. During the workshop we’ll work on instrumental and ensemble skills and will prepare an ensemble piece which we will perform at the end.
