SFEMS’ Medieval/Renaissance Workshop returns live with classes and concerts on a wide range of music, focusing on special songs, dances, motets, and Masses celebrating the sacred form of the circle and the endless return of love, life, and hope.

Time: Sunday, July 10—Saturday, July 16 (both day and evening events); PDT

Valley of the Moon Music Festival: Fantastic Universe
The Valley of the Moon Music Festival presents chamber and vocal music inspired by the magic and beauty of the natural world. In addition, the popular Blattner Lectures will continue, featuring experts in the fields of music, horticulture, and sustainability, as well as a new “Music Alfresco” series, concerts in beautiful natural settings in Sonoma County.

SFEMS’ Recorder Workshop returns live with recorder ensembles, technique classes, Renaissance consorts, recorder orchestra, masterclasses, concerts, lectures and more. Explore Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, contemporary and world music in an intimate setting with world-class faculty.

Berkeley Bach Cantata Group: BWV 4 (Christ Lag in Todes Banden) and BWV 118 (O Jesu Christ, Meins Lebens Licht)
The Berkeley Bach Cantata Group invites singers who love Bach to join the BBCG chorus and orchestra and Director Derek Tam in reading through the beloved Cantata BWV 4, Christ Lag in Todes Banden, and the sublime funeral Cantata BWV 118, O Jesu Christ, Meins Lebens Licht.

Time: Sunday, July 17, 2-5 PM; PDT
Cost: $10 donation, no one turned away for lack of funds.
