The perfect start to the holiday season, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio combines the drama of an oratorio with the religiosity of a cantata, resulting in a piece of astonishingly vivid musical color and intensity of emotion—and sure to be thrillingly realized by the award-winning Philharmonia Chorale.

Vallejo Choral Society: An English Christmas
Vallejo Choral Society explores the rich tradition of English music written for the holiday season. Program includes carols from the 15th century, anthems drawn from the Anglican canon, and Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” featuring harpist Molly Langr.

Musae: Carols & Hymns
San Francisco-based women’s vocal ensemble Musae sings music spanning the centuries, from medieval hymns, carols, and conducti, and early Renaissance fauxbourdon, to contemporary compositions.
