Dear Friend of the Medieval Renaissance Workshop,
The 2008 Medieval Renaissance Workshop "The Elements; Earth, Water, Wind & Fire” will take place from June 22- June 28 at Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park, CA.
We are delighted that we have been invited back to Sonoma University and we would like to invite you to join us for our 2008 workshop. All of you who were able to come to the 2007 workshop will agree that we have found a wonderful new home at Sonoma State University. The 2008 Medieval Renaissance Workshop will once again have access to the entire music building and will be housed in the luxurious new dorms.
We offer a comprehensive program in voice, viol, lute, recorder, cornetto, sackbut and reeds. Our classes are both for advanced participants as well as for those of intermediate level; professionals and amateurs, soloists and ensemble performers, conductors and music teachers. Our primary goal is to provide a superior educational experience in a friendly and intimate atmosphere for our students. Faculty members are world-class early music specialists who excel in both performance and teaching. Scholarships as well as academic credit or continuing education credit are offered. Our workshop features ensembles, technique classes, viol consort, renaissance windband, continuo coaching, concerts, lectures and an informal workshop which will conclude the workshop.
Mark your calendars now and plan to join us at the 2008 MedRen Workshop!
