A Lady with a Vielle Low Res“An 18th Century French Musical Portrait.” A newly discovered painting of French origin was recently purchased in auction at Sotheby’s. The musical instrument in the painting is a vielle àroue. By coincidence, the painting’s purchaser also owns the very instrument it depicts. Curtis Berak, owner of both painting and instrument, will give MusicSources audiences an exclusive, in person viewing of these twin treasures, together for the first time and never before displayed publicly. Music of the French Baroque will be performend, and guests will enjoy complimentary wine and refreshments. A Benefit For MusicSources
